“Life is all about timing... the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable. Have the patience, wait it out. It's all about timing.” –Stacey Charter
Time is necessary for any achievement. A goal is not achieved in the blink of an eye. But the forces used to bring you closer to your goal can be stirred to action at that rate. Never let your determination falter because of time. Remember, time passes at a rate that EVERYONE must accept. Wishing for time to go by any quicker only reveals the lack of FAITH that one has in reaching their goal. Enjoy the process as much as you would enjoy the end result. This is the secret to true happiness.
Another way I like to look at it is by imagining a scroll. This scroll, when unwound, tells a story, your life story. As you hold the scroll with your right hand and begin to unravel it with your left you see a picture, the day of your birth no doubt. As you continue unraveling the parchment you see images of your childhood, your teenage years, the beginning of your adult life, etc. Then the scroll stops unwinding. You have reached the images of yesterday. You see there is plenty of parchment left to unravel but since your future cannot be determined before its due time, you must make a choice. Is whatever dilemma you are currently going through going to affect the rest of that parchment? Or will you decide to overcome it with all your capability so that the rest of that parchment may hold pictures of a wonderful future? YOUR wonderful future..
NEVER let one instance overshadow the days of your tomorrow. Time has a way of changing conditions and the outlook of an individual. Don’t be too hasty to jump to negative conclusions at the first sight of an otherwise small obstacle. Everyone faces obstacles in life; some enormous, others miniscule. Some people prevail, many more fail. How we view these obstacles makes all the difference in the world, and more importantly, in our lives. Knowing these obstacles will be a thing of the past when given enough effort and time will minimize the size of the obstacle in the mind’s eye.

Faith That Outlasts Time
As I researched which elements were missing from the average male or female that a successful people shared, one in particular stood out to me. Faith. This element cannot be measured or weighed or bought. Yet the most successful people in this country find a way of obtaining it, and use it as a driving force towards their goals.
So let us define faith. Faith is a confidant belief in something or, the unseen. As it pertains to success, an idea. The millionaires of the world have strong faith that their idea, whether it be an invention or a way of performing business, will succeed when given enough time. However, we must remember that faith is an emotion. People will often have an idea and never question that it will succeed. This is more of a conscious decision than a subconscious emotion. With time faith will become automatic, but should always remain “felt”.
As an example of the importance of faith, I turn to the Bible. Many of you are probably familiar with the story of Abraham. He and his wife, Sarah, tried for years on end to have a child. After years of no luck…Then at the age of ninety-nine, God spoke to Abraham??? And promised…barren…birth to a nation.
Stories such as this are found in every religion known to man. In fact, what is religion other than a belief backed by faith? Faith has been here since the beginning of man and will outlast him. It is up to you to decide whether or not you will harness this assuring force to your advantage. But note this: nothing can be achieved until one believes it can.

Time: An ingredient in every recipe for success
“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.” –Albert Einstein
Given that the right plans are being followed, ANY goal will be achieved. For example, when one tries to get into shape as a new year’s resolution he/she will often look to dieting as a means of attaining their desired weight. Given that one is eating adequate amounts of nutritious food, he/she will lose weight alone from the diet over time. This, however, is not often quick enough for the new born health enthusiast. So he/she will add a workout regimen to the diet. It is common for one to have the thought process of, the more I workout the more weight I will lose. Time being of the essence, they plan a routine with lots of exercise to burn off as much fat as soon as possible. This is where many fall into trouble, and inevitably fail. Dieting alone can be a challenge for many. Now add on an intense workout schedule and you have a recipe for overload and failure…”Maybe next year.”
“Slow and steady wins the race,” remember? It does one good to respect time and the pace at which it passes. Depending on your goal, you should not demand too much too soon. Otherwise you set a pace which you yourself cannot keep up with. Respect time. Set your plans according to it. It cannot and will not change for an individual.
Goals, desire, dream; whatever you wish to call it, just get it. It is my belief that one of time’s biggest roles is to track an individual’s progress toward a goal, a desire, or a dream. These goals will vary from person to person, depending on the individual and his/her background. But time holds everyone to a standard pace at which we either choose to keep up with, or fall back from. Key note: As Joe Vitale says, “A good goal should scar you a little. And excite you a lot!” If a current goal of yours doesn’t excite you, reach higher.

The Great Equalizer
As has been stated before, everybody has time. Naturally, some protests might arise with this statement. So let me clarify this statement. Everyone is in the present. No one may leave the present for a more preferable time period. Everyone on Earth, at this moment, is doing something. Fair enough?
Time is also a natural law. It cannot be stopped. It cannot be slowed down. It cannot be changed. However, some are able to alter their perception of time. But that is for another subject. I am saying that everyone is accounted for at a specific time, ALL THE TIME.
Quantity of time. It is often ASSUMED that an elderly person has less time on Earth than that of a child. With this assumption comes the inevitable emotions of ‘why bother?’ Why should an elderly man change his habits when he’s “wasted” away so much of the time he was given? The child will achieve much more than the elderly man ever did, they predict. “Why,” I ask? “Because he has MUCH MORE TIME,” they respond. So it is assumed that because one has more time he will achieve more. But time is just one element of success. And in the grand scope of things, not a big one at that. I am here to say that a man of 80 is just as capable as a boy of 8. A large span of time has passed by the man, but with it has come experience. Something that can also be used towards success. Success in this context meaning positive change.
It is never too late to change one’s ways. Now there are a couple of things needed for one to do so, but I am specifically focusing on the element of time. “It’s too late to change,” or “there’s not enough time” are excuses created by the individual to make him/herself feel better about settling for less. It is never too late to change oneself for the better. Only a desire to change, the will power to follow through, and time are needed to successfully transform oneself.

How Time Defines Us
Time. Everybody’s got it. Everybody uses it. The only difference being how we use it and what we spend it on. This is what defines a person. One who spends countless hours training is seen as an athlete. One who spends their time hiking, fishing, or hunting is seen as an outdoorsman. So how does your time define you? What do you spend it on most? Work? Play? Do you use it to make progress towards a goal or let it slip passed you, never to be retrieved again? These are questions I wish for you to think over and answer honestly. For only when we are honest with ourselves can we begin to realize the potential of what life can be.
